Problem Statement | All children experience boredom, and many try to alleviate their boredom by using their devices. This can contribute to shorter attention spans and reduced social abilities. This game can help to assuage childrens’ boredom in a healthier way, that reduces time on devices and increases social bonds. |
Design Statement | Design and produce a portable game that is entertaining to young children |
Constraints | • Individual work must be produced and submitted • Design using standard measurements for playing surface • Additional materials must be submitted for teacher approval via annotated concept sketches • Scaled down version of a real hockey dimensions (our board is 9” x 12”) • Walls are ¾ “ wide by 1 ¼” tall (length differs based upon the joint you make) • Goals are ⅞” in diameter and players are ⅜” in diameter |
